The main bedroom is king-size and the second bedroom is twin, both with space for an extra floor bed or travel cot for a child. A very comfortable adult camp bed can be provided for use in the main living space.
Outside there is an enclosed garden space with both a dining space including a BBQ and a separate lounge set. Guests can enjoy the luxury of a wood-fired hot tub on the decking. Plenty big enough for everyone. Air jets, LED lighting, and even drinks holders so you can enjoy the idyllic scenery of the Forest of Bowland, or lie back and watch the stars in this 'Dark Skies' area. Water is changed between every booking. Toasty warm in just 2 hours. Luxury robes and towels are provided for all guests.
The large industrial style kitchen is fully equipped with an extensive selection of cookware plus an oven and induction hob, dishwasher, and microwave to make cooking up a breakfast or evening meal easy. There’s also a washing machine for those longer stays. The bathroom is modern and features a shower over the bath. The open plan living area looks out onto the garden and Beacon Fell beyond through an almost fully glazed wall that leads out onto the decking. There’s also a large reclaimed wood dining table that seats 6 and a comfortable sofa to enjoy watching the smart TV, which includes the Netflix app. This space is finished off with a cosy log burner for those winter nights. The Lodge also boasts a 1000Mbps (1Gbps) fibre internet connection, giving you the fastest speeds in the country so you won’t miss out on anything. Of course, if you would prefer to be unreachable we can always turn it off!
We wanted The Lodge to have a small carbon footprint so it is incredibly well insulated plus fitted with triple glazed windows and although each room has a programmable electric wall heater we’re not sure when you will need them! The solar panels on the roof help to heat the hot water and power the appliances so you can enjoy your holiday while helping the environment. We have recently installed an EV charger which you can use during your stay. The Lodge is set in the grounds of our house whilst still offering the privacy needed to enjoy your holiday as it has its own enclosed garden. When staying at The Lodge you will have an area of outstanding natural beauty on your doorstep and a public footpath leading from our garden takes you to the summit of Beacon Fell where you can view the whole of the area on a clear day.
The Lodge @ Beacon Fell really is a home from home and we aim to provide everything you could need for your stay.
Address: Bleasdale road, PR3 2ER Preston, , United Kingdom

The accommodation is set at the foot of Beacon Fell and the public footpath from the garden leads to the summit. There are many walks in the area and we are happy to share our favourites with you if required. The country lanes are also a favourite with cyclists so if cycling is your thing then you won’t be disappointed. Beacon Fell and surrounding areas is a certified dark skies zone so it's great for star gazing too.
We have two pubs (both serving food) and a gin bar/cafe about 1 mile from The Lodge. The brand new refurbished Ye Old Horns Inn is around 2 miles away and offers a luxury dining experience. There is also a farm shop just over a mile away (Mrs Kirkham's) for locally produced cheese, veg and bread. Within 10 mins drive there is also The Flower Bowl entertainment centre with 2 restaurants, bowling, crazy golf, and a cinema.
Locally you will have the towns of Longridge and Garstang just 15 mins drive away. Both towns offer supermarkets, restaurants and a variety of pubs/bars plus exceptional high street boutique shops where you can experience locally produced foods and gifts. Slightly further afield there are the larger towns of Clitheroe and Lancaster offering even more selection. Of course, I cannot forget the City of Preston just a 25 min drive away if you are looking for more nightlife and high street shops.
Being only 15 minutes from the motorway network the Lodge at Beacon Fell is also well placed for visiting the Flyde coast, Arnside & Silverdale, the Lake District and even the Yorkshire Dales. As hosts we enjoy visiting all of these places and have great local knowledge too so we’re happy to make recommendations if you want some ideas.
There’s also plenty for the kids to do even on a rainy day! We have an online house manual with lots more local information which will be made available to you once your booking is confirmed. Although we have a great taxi service in Longridge you will need a car to get around.
